Aleksey Pushkov (; born 10 August 1954) is the head of the foreign-affairs committee in the State Duma, the lower house of the Russian parliament. From 2008 to 2011 Pushkov was the Director of the Institute of Contemporary International Studies, Diplomatic Academy of Russia.〔(ПУШКОВ АЛЕКСЕЙ КОНСТАНТИНОВИЧ ), referring to either Moscow State Institute of International Relations or the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation〕 He was elected to the Duma on 4 December 2011 on the United Russia party list. Professor of Moscow State Institute of International Relations. Has title honoris causa of the Moscow University for the Humanities ,Russian-Armenian State University (Yerevan), Azerbaijan University of Languages. Since 1998, lead author information and analytical program "Postscriptum" on TV channel TV Tsentr.〔http://www.tvc.ru/channel/brand/id/41〕 In 2014 he suggested Petro Poroshenko dismiss Andrii Deshchytsia who was accused by Sergei Lavrov of calling Vladimir Putin a ''dickhead'' during the rioting near the Russian Embassy in Ukraine.
